Default HOODLUM ROCK-episode discussion

in this classic episode.
tv guide listed it as one of the 100 best episodes
ever broadcast in the history of television a few
years back.
the band SCUM OF THE EARTH played by two members
of the real life group DETECTIVE(blood and nigel weatherbee) and the third
played by michael des barres who would later join
the cast of the new wkrp in cincinnati as dj
jack allen apart of the burns and allen morning show the married couple who were known as the "morning maniacs"
my favorite moment in this episode is when venus flytrap is interviewing SCUM OF THE EARTH.
dr. johnny fever in the hotel room with SCUM OF THE EARTH is also a classic scene.
SCUM OF THE EARTH music was played by DETECTIVE!

i would love to have an uncut version of this episode.

please everybody let us hear your opinions of hoodlum rock!

Michael des barres was in detective, plus released a few (?) solo albums. Which of the other dudes was in the band, Ive never heard that? i missed the tvland playing on these due to homework and stuff.
Of course, micheal des barres is best known to many as playing the evil assassin MURDOC on MacGyver <G>, a priceless character. Heh heh heh

this episode has some of my favourite lines...

"you can't really get a bunch of screaming teenage girls to come to a cello recital now can you?...and we rather like teenage girls..."

"can i say hello to my mother?"
"your momma live in cincinnati?"
"there's always chance."

"first of all punk rock bands dress deplorably...and secondly, punk rock bands dont physically abuse their audiences."
"and you dudes do?"
"come to the show and find out"
"we don't like audiences"

"that's it for 'im then!"

I loved the scene in the hotel room where the guys are trashing the hotel room and Johnny just lies on the bed reading a newspaper.

Keyboards in Detective were played by Tony Kaye who was in the first lineup of Yes and also the 1983 - 1994 line ups and also played with Badfinger and David Bowie.
