Question First Impressions watching the show after his death

I have watched now 3 episodes of the show.. and I have to say I ALREADY feel this legend feel for John! NOW that his career has a begining and end.. because of his death

watching 3's company.. now ! I felt like I was watching a comic legend from the past!! IN a GREAT way!!!

Just like Charlie Chaplin, Buster Keaton, Lucille Ball..

He was always like this .. but NOW it is different WE are watching a Comic Legend with skills from the past.. that we dont see anymore.. !!

He was the last to embrace all these past skills.. all wrapped up into one person!

Watching the shows now.. they feel dated.. but I think this is a great thing now for this American Comic Icon which is John Ritter

** His Legend is going to even grow larger with time!

The Future looks great for the Praise of John Ritter and his skills as a Genius

I haven't watched an episode yet but I'm sure it will feel strange. I'll be watching a lot of the shows that tv land is playing tomorrow so I'll know soon.

Whenever I watch Three's Company it reminds me of John Ritter's death. This is going to take some time to sink in. I don't plan on watching him for at least awhile. It saddens me to watch him after his death because he shouldn't have died at such an age that he was.

But I do agree . . . he's now a past legend and ranks right up there with the other great legends such as Lucille Ball, Jackie Gleason, Carrol '0 Conner, Red Skelton, Bob Hope, and many, many others.

I watched them last night, and laughed.. but it sure didn't feel the same. The fact that he's no longer with us hasn't sunk in entirely.

It'll be difficult, but I do plan on watching TV Land's tribute to him tomorrow.

I agree.. one moment I feel like what I posted above.. BUT a few moments later I have this pain and he is gone

right now I can take his slap stick comedy of the show! but whenever it gets serious I feel so sad and my heart gets heavy & wants to break..

sometimes when I am watching it now... I can't look him in the eyes.. OR I watch and see the little expressions he makes to the other actors..

it is just a hard thing.. I am laughing at WOW.. there will never be another comic genius liek John Ritter.. look at his skill.. and just shake my head with awe..

then a moment later when it is quiet and John is being serious and touching.. and am lost

** he made me feel like this when he was alive!! When I watch a few episodes I get choked up! when he was alive I did and how great his acting was..

** This morning I watch the one when Janet wanted to be a dancer and Michael told her she didn't have what is takes to be one..

then John says that line " Can I have this dance"..

THE whole crowd moans.. !!!! (where do you see that on TV? ???) NO where!

well when I watch that part this morning.. I cried.

wow we are never going to see another man liek John Ritter again..Only him and Chaplin! They both had that gift..

* This is the first time I have cried in over 12 years.. not even when family members died.. I didn't cry.

I have cried Twice since John has died.

That's one of my favorite episodes, the one that made me cry the first time I saw it years ago and the same one that still makes me cry. You could tell it got to the entire audience.

yeah I couldn't take it this time.. I haven't felt that.. since I saw it the FIRST time it aired.. back when it was first made.

wow it was an amazing moment.. That moment for me is Jack Tripper!!

( another episode which made me cry when it first aired.. was Terri's first episode) When Jack ruined her dressed.. and she ketp saying "Give it to me..." & then "Go ahead you can't stop now"

wow.. to see Jack be mean then totally Hurt..

When I saw that the first timed it aired.. I was so sad.. because that wasn't Jack! .. I had such a LUMP in my Throat when I saw that..

wow the acting there from both of them.. just Tugged at my Heart Strings

That's another one I remember well! I really felt for Terri, and when she told him to give it to her, the way she looked at him.. I got pretty choked up. I thought she was going to slap him at first, never expected Jack to spray her with the water again.

Oh I know.. Terri's face in that part.. wow I was sooo choked up !!!

That was some amazing acting for her first episode .. I really felt for Terri.. and couldn't believe how Jack was acting.. THEN he showed that "Pathos" yet again.

when that were both quiet and we were waiting for Jack to decide what to do next... I was on the edge of me seat & about to cry all in one moment

what acting

Since John's death, I've only watched two episodes, and those were the ones that aired last night on Nick at Nite. They were "Macho Man" and "Strangers in the Night." I love both of these episodes but "Strangers in the Night" is one of my favorites. The part that always makes me laugh is when Jack and Larry are at Arabella's apartment serenading her and then while Larry is singing, he coughs, so Jack has to cough too. And then Larry coughs again, and Jack does too. It made me laugh again last night but it just wasn't the same anymore knowing that John will not be able to make us all laugh in the future. And his famous "Frankly my dear, I don't give a damn" line was really meaningful in this episode because that sounds like something John would say in real life, since he was so kind to those around him.

I'll probably start crying if I ever watch Jack's "emotional" episodes, like "Some of that Jazz", "Roper's Niece (the end of it, with Janet's cameo)", "Jack Bares All part 2"..and especially "Cupid Works Overtime" with Jack and Janet's scene on the couch about how much they'll miss each other..oh my, that will hurt the most. Because now, we will always have Jack Tripper, but Janet's tearful line "Um..I'm really going to miss you, Jack" will be more like "Um..I'm really going to miss you, John."

I'll never be able to watch my favorite show the same way again now that my favorite actor has died.
