Default Good-bye Mr. Ritter.....You were the greatest!!!!

Although I have never met Mr. Ritter personally, I felt as if I lost one of my very best friends. When I heard of his passing, the tears did not fail to fall. For I felt he was a part of my life, bringing much laughter into my home over the years....and a merry heart doeth good like a medicine, doesn't it. I guess he was a part of my life.
It seems so untimely when someone, so gifted, spirited and full of eternal potential is taken away from us. You feel as if you were robbed of a priceless treasure that can neither be replaced nor restored.
I'd like to think that Mr. Ritter's passion for what he did on the screen was indicative of his passion and love for his fans......his thirst to win our hearts.
He won mine.
It's still hard to believe that "Jack Tripper" is gone........those were stellar performances if I ever saw it. I still watch the re-runs on Nick at Nite.
I also watched Problem Child 1 and 2 about a million times....my favourite line was......."I've adpoted Satan."
John Ritter is a class act and a tough act to follow.
I wish to extend my condolences to his family and give them a little piece of my heart to comfort them. We, his fans, loved him too.
May your spirit rest in peace Mr. Ritter................Good-bye.

I was in complete shock this morning when I heard it on CNN. I am saddened by celebrity deaths, but they don't really affect me in the long run. This one did. John Ritter was one of my absolute favorite performers over the years. The first thing I remember watching him in was the Problem Child movies! I LOVE those movies. The third one just wasn't the same because he and Junior weren't in it.

I've watched him in many things since then, especially when Three's Company came to Nick at Nite. He was a very, very talented comedic actor, one of the best around, in my opinion.

Default A sad passing.

I wish to say thank you for your post. It was well written and could not be amended easily without actually knowing John Ritter.
I was young during the actual run of Three's Company, but I watched plenty as a kid - both the during it's time on ABC and in syndication. I for one really preferred 8 Simple Rules because I like family based shows- my all time favorite after all is Family Ties.

John Ritter had a strange youthfulness to himself. I believe it was in his eyes. He was great at this role. I enjoyed it so much and was glad he had found another role to get comfortable with and maybe be remembered for someone other than Jack Tripper. Alas that was not to be. It is still a shock and disappointment for all those who loved him in this part.

I now have to say good-bye to another heart warming actor so far in my life, the other being John Candy.

Good-bye...you will be missed.

It still cannot soak into my head that he's gone. It's just so sad. He was a great actor and he will be missed deeply. Watching John just always made me feel better. He may be gone, but be he will in live in the hearts of his millions of fans forever.

God rest your soul, John.

Default You're most welcome Gilbert.

He was actually a celebrity that I would have really liked to meet. I was probably in fourth grade when Three's Company went off the air, but stuff like that are classics - there will never be a death of their affect. I'll keep watching it as long as Nike at Nite keeps it on the air.
You're right, though. He did have a strange youthfulness that denounced the norms of the sands of time. His death is still a shock to everyone on my island; his name rings from the lips of everyone I have seen since he passed away.
It warms my heart to know that Hollywood actually had a martyr in John Ritter.........the glowing reports of the good he did in the hearts of the people who watch television and movies doesn't make that genre look too bad.
You know what though, I don't think John Ritter would like to be remembered as Jack Tripper or Mr. Healy, but I would hope that he would just want to be remembered as a light that touched many lives across the globe.
