Default Tech Questions...(Much simpler than my last topic, I think)

1. Is there a way to get a device that lets you plug it into the Headphone Jack, and the other end of said device has two MORE headphone jacks so that two people can listen to the same thing?

2. If one has a Cable Modem and a TV that need the cable, is there some sort of device like I said in question one, except for cable cords? They're the kind with the little needle sticking out of the middle and it screws on, you know what I mean. I'm trying to avoid having to do one or the other, and just be able to do both.

3. What stores are these/this available in? RadioShack? BestBuy? (If they exist, that is.)

4. How much you think they'd cost? (If they exist, that is.)

Radioshack will always be cheaper than places like Best Buy, but you could also find an even better deal at WalMart if they have what you want in stock...

all prices on the pages Ive linked above

ON a side note: when you are splitting a cable signal for internet, you want the least degradation as possible - you want the strongest signal taken from as close as possible to the source going directly to your cablemodem.

The best thing to do is find out where the cable comes into the house, put a high quality splitter there and plug in yer cable modem there and run your ethernet cable to your router or computer (you wont suffer ANY line loss within 150 feet or so)

I have seen substantial increases in internet performance by moving the cablemodem closer to the source, oh and dust that thing off (blow it out with some canned air too) every once in a while - when they start to get hot they can act up, or die.
