Question What IS IT??

Do any of you guys ever get this weird little thing where a small portion of muscle (on any random areas of your body) just starts to twich? It'll just begin to "jump" sometimes quickly & rhythmically & other times intermittently. I get it on my fingers, leg, eyelid & as of the past 2 days, the back of neck. But it can happen anywhere.
What the hell *is* that & why does it happen??

Yup.. its just your nerve endings twitching. When they get really relaxed, they kinda twitch... kinda like when youre in bed and all of a sudden you twitch and feel like youre falling.

That happens to me quite a bit, usually when I haven't been drinking enough water.

That's the little bugs that live under your skin moving around.

Imjustkiddingya!

It's just electrical signals coming from your brain which tells your body what parts to move. I think it may just be an excess of electricity that causes these random impulses to fire.

What you described is common, but if it persists for a long period of time you should see a doctor.

I found this as a description:

Benign twitches (not caused by disease or disorders).

Often affect the eyelids, calf, or thumb
Normal and quite common, often triggered by stress or anxiety
A diet deficiency
Drug overdose
Drug side effect (such as diuretics, corticosteroids and estrogens)
Exercise

Fatigue and exposure to chemicals are also factors.

Sometimes at night, always *right* before I drift off to sleep, my whole body suddenly jerks. It feels like I'm falling, it's SO wierd.

Glad I'm not the only one it happens too!
