Default Why did Jay Stewart commit suicide?

It's sad to read about Jay Stewart commiting suicide. He sure sounded like he was in good spirits up until the end. I wonder what made him want to kill himself?

He was the announcer on Let's Make A Deal and he also was the one who brought stuff out and participated in the Zonk deals.

Ray Combs had marital problems at the time of his suicide; actually, people believe the main reason he ended his life was because his marriage was in turmoil and either about to end...or had already ended.
As far as Jay Stewart goes, he was elderly when he took his own life, 74, I think? Very sad indeed.

Yeah I saw on an E True Hollywood Story where they said that another part of this was the pain he was in from a car accident he had been in, that he had never fully recovered from that, and was addicted to painkillers as well

According to a Let's Make A Deal webpage that I visted about a year ago, Jay had severe back pain for years and suffered from chronic depression to such an extreame that he couldn't take it anymore. He shot himself to death. Very tragic indeed.

Rest in peace Jay.
