Has anyone else noticed that the same transition music from Leave it to Beaver was used on episodes of Mister Ed (at least in 1st season episodes).

I happened to be watching a very small segment of Mr. Ed, and the scene was just ending. All of a sudden, I heard this very familiar tune, which came from Leave It To Beaver! So you are right, it sounds like they did use the same music at times.

This topic was discussed on the TVLAND board, and as I recall, both shows were produced by the same production company. In fact, the same music was also used in episodes of Alfred Hitchcock Presents. Someone mentioned that there were also a few other shows with the same music, but I forget which now.

Just to clarify, "Mr. Ed" and "Leave it to Beaver" WERE not produced by the same production. LITB was produced by Revue Studios (the television divison of Universal Studios) and "Mr. Ed" was produced by McCadden Productions, a company owned and operated by comedian George Burns. Honestly, I notice no similarity in the music, and if it is, it is strictly coincidental.

The LITB fade out music is the same as Mr. Ed. No question about it. I perked up when I heard it the first time and then made the connection.
