I'm going to investigate this option when I receive the picture.

Being that it's from 1922, I don't think copyright restrictions would apply.

You can give copies away for a suggested donation amount to the "defray the cost of my eBay purchase" fund. The law can't touch ya; maybe.

I was thinking more along the lines that if the picture has fallen out of copyright restrictions, it would be in the public domain and you could copy it all you wanted.

This almost happened with Disney's first Mickey Mouse cartoon, Steamboat Willie, released on July 29, 1928. Disney recently had to scramble to recopyright it because it was in danger of falling into the public domain. Since the Life cover is from 1922, I would assume that it has already passed into it. (or at least, that is what I would assume until I received an offical notice)
