I don't know what my favorite kind of music is. I don't like any groups like n'sync or eminem or any of today's music. I'd rather listen to music from the 60's, 70's, or 80's. I'm just old-fashioned.

I like everything, although I am not too fond of hip hop (sorry, just not my cup of tea). Fave artist is Madonna. Also love U2, Cyndi Lauper, Prince, Everclear, No Doubt, Donna Summer, Cher, Tina Turner, etc..... I have well over 600 cd's as old as a Beatles title from 63 and as recent as the most recent Ricky Martin, Madonna, Sade, Radiohead, Everclear, Evan And Jaron, Barenaked Ladies, U2, Robbie Williams, 98 Degrees and Lenny Kravitz titles from the past few months. I also have a ton of maxisingles, love me some remixes.

Same here A.J.! I mostly listen to music from those time periods, but mostly music from the 80's. I also love some of those classic 80's theme songs like Facts of Life and Dallas.

MARIAH CAREY! MARIAH CAREY! Mariah is my alltime favorite artist. There is so many reasons why. People seem to think she is this brainless hoochie with pointless music but there are songs from her that people jsut dont get to hear, unless you buy the album. I like Mariah because when I felt like there was no hope in my life, her positive attitude and inspirational music was there to give me the strength i needed to carry on. She has enabled me to accept myself as I am. Through her music, she has been there to guide me through though situations, sad times, pain and heartache. She has also taught me how to be a better person in life through her music and through her actions. Mariah has always played an important role in my life and I am the person I am today because of her.

So, I guess you could say I like her music. LOL. (She's my inspiration, btw). But besides anything Mariah, I LOVE 80S music! Love it, Love it, Love it! LOL!

Holy novel, John. You have a pretty wide range of taste in music.

My taste in music is much more narrow. I really got into the grunge movement of the early 90's, and never really got tired of it. It opened up a whole new world of hard and industrial rock to me as well.

I can't really comment on the popular music of today, as I haven't watched MTV since Beavis and Butthead went off the air and I don't listen to the radio, but I do have digital cable and can watch MTV-X (which plays rock videos 24/7), and most of the "new" videos that they play are just trash. I can't stand this new "rap/metal" garbage. Most of the stuff I like is from the 1988-1994 when grunge and industrial rock were at its peak. Just some of the bands I like: Helmet, Ministry, Pantera, Pearl Jam, Soundgarden, Alice in Chains, Tool, Slayer, Candlebox, Local H, Jerry Cantrell, Temple of the Dog, Megadeth, NIN, STP, Snapcase, Unsane, Silverchair, etc. Not that any of this has to do with FOL....

I too listen to almost anything, except country - EW! But...I prefer alternative music. I love Goo Goo Dolls, Eve6, Kid Rock, Creed, Green Day, and U2 in the 80's. (But I got their new album for x-mas, and it's not what I expected, but oh - well!) I also like Eminem, but don't agree with most of what he says. Although I'm not crazy about Boy Bands, I do like 98 degrees (especially Nick Lachey! :P )

So...does anyone here know what kind of music the cast of FOL likes? That would be kinda interesting! Hee,Hee!

ps. - I forgot - Limp Bizkit is pretty cool, too! Ilove their remake of "faith" on their first c.d! (No offense to any of you George Michaels fans - but he's just gotta go! Yuck!)

I'm very picky. I listen to Beatles, Beach Boys, Monkees, Barenaked Ladies, Bette Midler, and I like one of Weird Al Yankovic's songs! "Syndicated Incorporated"--it mentions L&S!! Other than that, nothing. I refuse to listen to any other music. All of today's is pretty much garbage. Especially pop. I hate pop music...
