Not at all! I suppose if it stretches out after a long period of time, but it certainly wouldn't offend me.

Jason,

My "want list" is always incomplete. I'm pretty open to lots of stuff. Really, my main stipulation is that the shows be pre-1980, preferrably black/white. F Troop would be fun. If you didn't live in Tasmania I'd ask you for your "have list".

Jason,

The "tassie icon" was what my head would look like if I had to ship to Tasmania. Do you really live there? Or is it hopeful thinking?

As for being up to our necks in snow , we really don't have as much as most people think. We're far more known for the bitter winds, which I could definitely do without.

Jason and Cheyne,

I have said this before, and I'll say it again...

There is a cheaper method of shipping from the USA that is not commonly used called the M-Bag. Since this is not used often, most postal workers are unfamiliar with it. (Our postal workers are very cautious using this method, checking their book to do it just right.)

The M-Bag (similar to media mail in the US) is far cheaper than the other options (approximately 1/3 the price). There is a longer waiting period, but I think it's worth looking into.

There are some restrictions for this service (package can't be too small or too big). It seems to me that many USA traders don't feel like they need to go the extra mile to get prices on this option since the shipping fees aren't coming out of their own pockets, so you really need to insist upon this.

thanks jen i made a mistake above that was supposed to be 40.00 aus that is still a lot though, that cost was for air mail the surface mail rates are quite reasonable and would be even cheaper with m-bag.i was only having a joke with you by the way i thought i need to lighten up on these boards because a lot of my posts are serious ones
hello cheyne its good to see other aus traders popping up on these boards i might start a thread and see if we can get some have/want lists going right now i am only interested in complete sets otherwise my collection will start to be all over the place i am after the complete set of i love lucy next
