hehe hi everyone!
I just had to share this with all of you... I got two kittens!! they're sooo cute, and they're running around my house together and getting into everything! hehehe. See, my 16-year-old cat that I'd had since I was 5 years old, when he was a kitten, died 3 weeks ago. ![]() and then we went to look at kittens, and supposedly the ones we picked out were't going to be old enough to leave their mother for a week or so longer, but I got home from school tonight, and my parents had brought them home! They're soooo sooo soo sooooo cute! ok just had to share that with you all. ![]() ~Krista

hehe thanks, for the name suggestions, pilotguy. lol!
lol, I wanted to name them something Wings-related, but my family gets votes on the names too. lol, and no one liked my suggestions. They're both females, and I think we ended up naming them "Callie" (my Mom picked that name out for the calico one. lol), and "Squeeky"- the grey tiger one squeeks when you pick her up. hehe. I just started calling her that right away, and it's stuck for the past couple hours hehe. |

I had a calico named Callie. Got her about a year ago and she dissapeared two months ago
I loved that cat though. Calicos are very cool cats to have. So spunky and entertaining. It's probably a good thing that you got the cats early. I got my Callie when she was too young (her mother died) and she was very much attached to me and my family, loyal like a dog is supposed to be. I really miss that cat

![]() I loved my other cat a lot too, and when he died a few weeks ago, it was sooo horrible. I miss him a lot. ![]() but the new kittens are really fun. you're right that Calicos are really spunky and entertaining. My Callie was on my lap before and trying to get behind me on the couch, and flipping around, and hitting things that weren't there, and trying to get INTO the couch. hahahaha. and then I had both kittens on my lap while I was watching Wings, and they were both slapping each other, and stepping on each other, and chewing each others ears, and biting each other's tails... it was sooo funny. and then they fell asleep. hehe |

Krista, that's good to hear you were able to get some kittens so soon. Will probably help you heal from the sadness of your other cat.
My friend basically had two kittens dumped on her back in April. She actually always thought she was alergic to cats before, but her ex found these tiny kittens abandoned under a house, and basically left them to her, and what else could she do, lol? So, we fed them kitten milk formula with eye droppers at first, then they got bigger. We thought they would die at first. NOW, the male cat is huge...so he's called Sam, for Samson cos he's big...he seems like he's too big for his age. Toughened right up, and the female is called Amy, for Amore (love), and she's normal size. They are ruffians, and get into everything, and fly around the house chasing each other. Ahh, kittens are soo much fun. )Hope you enjoy yours! Anne |

Congrats on your new ktties, Krista
Too bad you didn't get to name them after Wings characters.I'm more of a dog person myself, but some cats can be fun. Kittens are definitely cute. |

Krista, congrats on your new kitties and I'm sorry about your recent loss. I have a 15 year old mini-dachshund, and while she's doing OK, I do wonder how long she has, and don't know how I'm going to be when she does pass away.
Wow, nothing like bringing this board down! Anyway, Krista, have fun with your new additions. I saw something funny on a sign in front of a vet's office the other day. It read "Agenda for day--let cat out, let cat in, feed cat, be ignored, let cat out, let cat in, be ignored, etc.,etc."

Speaking of pets, has anyone here ever had a Basset Hound?
I'm a real estate appraiser and go into a lot of houses and see a lot of different pets...and I just think that Bassets are so cool! They come in the room, stare at you and then leave the room...of course, if they get really excited, they'll pee on the floor, but they're sad-looking expression never changes. The cutest thing that I ever saw was a 3-week old Basset that one of my Homeowners had.... So is anyone else her a Basset fan? |
