Default Cult classic sitcoms

Ever hear about sitcoms that are popular today but weren't in their original run? That is what a cult classic is. These shows did not fare very well in the Nielsons. One good example is The Brady Bunch. It never made it to the top 30 shows in its 5 seasons on the air yet it became very popular and watched when it hit syndication. Here are some other cult classic sitcoms in my opinion.

Gilligan's Island
The Odd Couple
The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet
The Honeymooners
Leave it to Beaver
Car 54 Where Are You?
The Courtship of Eddie's Father

If I remember right The Brady Bunch wasn't all that popular until it went into reruns.

The entire 8 seasons of "Full House" became cult classics in TV history.

Well some of these shows were popular when they were on so I dont know if they are cult classics rather than just shows that continiue to be popular. I think Full House was highly rated, otherwise how did it make it for 8 years? Same with Married with Children.

NewsRadio: Started out with modest ratings, then they sank. Made it through 5 seasons. Now the only way most fans can see the show is if they have episodes on tape.

Newhart: Was popular during it's 8 season run. But hasn't proved to be very popular in reruns. So fans have to rely on tapes.

This same statement applies to The Lucy Show. It was popular during it's original run but proved to somewhat unpopular in reruns.
