and I pick DIET soda because it has 0 calories and tastes better.

I drink both. Sometimes I just want that sweetness with regular soda, but I need to cut down on my sugar. I've started drinking Diet Vanilla cola.

I used to drink regular but switched to diet when I started gaining a few pounds. I was surprised that I was able to get used to it right away. I don't even crave the regular stuff anymore.

Diet Soda tastes worse than regular soda, imo. I also agree that it has a weird aftertaste too.
