Smile GP Story- Number 1

After the castaways reach civilization.......
In a hospital in Hollywood...........
Room 313..........

The doctor entered the room quietly, and Ginger looked up from the bed, anxiously awaiting his diagnosis.
"I'm sorry, Ginger. You have an awful disease, (can't decide what to call it, anybody got suggestions?). Unless you are willing to fight it, you'll die." The doctor did not believe in letting patients know their diseases gradually.
Ginger broke out into tears, and the doctor left her alone to cry. Ginger's thoughts wandered back to her six friends from the island, especially the Professor. She hadn't remained in contact with them for three years. Her movie career was washed up. She had no family members left. Life was not worth living. She would just give up, and end her misery. The misery of a deep love for the Professor, and not having it returned.
Meanwhile at Mary Ann's farm in Kansas.......
Ring, ring, ring! Mary Ann hurried over to the phone, quite annoyed at the disruption. She was in the middle of a farm crisis, no rain had come in the past three months.
"Hello?" her usually sweet voice was only slightly annoyed.
"This is Doctor Bradly from Hollywood Hospital. May I speak to Mary Ann, please?" the Doctor's voice sounded crackly over the phone.
"This is she speaking," now Mary Ann was alarmed, who did she know in Hollywood? GINGER!
"Well, one of my patients, Ginger Grant, and old friend of yours, has developed a near fatal disease. She does not want to live, and I thought you might come to cheer her up, maybe even help her to fight the disease?" Doctor Bradly broke the new rather untactfully again.
"Well.......you see........there's this huge crisis at my farm, and I can't come now. Please tell Ginger I'll come as soon as I can!" Mary Ann hung up the phone, feeling rather guilty, but still sure that she had done the right thing. Somebody else would go see Ginger.
Meanwhile in Hawaii at the boat dock.........
Ring, ring, ring! Skipper walked over to the phone, tripping over Gilligan's feet that always happened to be in the way. Glaring at Gilligan, who cowered meekly, Skipper picked up the phone.
"Hello?" His gruff voice answered.
"This is Doctor Bradly from Hollywood Hospital, can I speak to Jonas Grumbly, the Skipper?" It was good 'ol Doctor Bradly, making his second call of the afternoon.
"Who is it Skipper?" Gilligan asked, obviously curious.
"Some Doctor Bradly from Hollywood Hospital. Hollywood Hospital! GINGER!" Skipper answered Gilligan with the mouth piece of the phone covered.
"What do you want?" Skipper's voice was now uncertain, almost scared!
"As you have probably guess, your friend, Ginger Grant is one of my patients. She has a fatal disease, and is ready to give up. She can fight it off however, if she finds a reason to live. Can you come see her?" Doctor Bradly asked. The Skipper considered this for a moment.
"I have to set sail this evening, Gilligan and I can't make it. Why don't you try the Howell's? They'd probably be willing to come. Give my regards to Ginger," with that said, Skipper hung up the phone, and continued preparations for the upcoming three hour tour.
Meanwhile in New York City at the Howell's Mansion........
Ring, ring, ring! A maid in a black uniform and white apron scrambled over to get the phone. Mr. Howell would be mad if he found out an important stock announcement had come through, and she had missed it.
"Hello," the maid sounded sober.
"Could I please speak with Mr.Howell. This is Doctor Bradly from Hollywood Hospital," Doctor Bradly was getting annoyed with all of the phone calls he had to make. Obviously, no one really cared about Ginger.
"I'm sorry. Mr.Howell is in an important conference and he can't be bothered. Mrs. Howell is at a country club society meeting. Good-bye." The maid hung up, knowing that she would have to keep the line open.
Meanwhile in the Professor's Laboratory........
The Professor daintily lifted up a test tube and examined it's green contents carefully. His mind wasn't on science, though. It was on Ginger. He had not heard from her in three years, and he was not brave enough to call her up himself. She likely had a boyfriend, was married to a movie star, was on Broadway, or just didn't have time for him.
"Hello? Professor?" his lab assistant Danny, waved a hand in front of his face, causing him to drop the test tube.
"There's a phone call for you." Danny shook his head, used to the Professor's dazes.
"Who is it?" the Professor was annoyed.
"Some doctor from a hospital in Hollywood, I'll tell them you're busy," Danny turned to leave. HOLLYWOOD! HOSPITAL! GINGER!
"NO, don't do that!" the Professor dashed up to Danny, and took the phone receiver from hime.
"Hello?" the Professor answered, very worried indeed. Suppose Ginger had died! He would never be able to express his love for her!
"This is Doctor Bradly, Hollywood Hospital. Your friend, Ginger Grant, has been diagnosed with a fatal disease. However, she can fight it off if she has a reason to live. She has decided not to, but I am calling all of her friends to see if they will come cheer her up. No one will come, and you are the last one I can call. Will you come?" Doctor Bradly asked hopefully.
"I have to be in London tomorrow, but I'll cancel that, and take a plane to California right now! See you in a few hours!" the Professor hung up, dashing out of the room, towards the parking lot.
A Few Hours Later at the Hospital......
"Doctor, I'm giving up, I've told you that already!" Ginger was crying, her love-aching heart broken. "Nobody cares if I live or die."
"I do." the Professor's voice came loud and clear from the open door.
"Professor?" Ginger blinked her long eyelashes, trying to see if her eyes were playing tricks on her.
"Doctor," the Professor acknowledged the doctor as he left the room. The two were left alone in the room.
"Why did you come see me? No one else would?" Ginger kept crying.
"All these years and all those years on the island, I loved you. I wasn't sure if you felt the same way, so I never said anything. I still do, and I came because I love you. Please don't die, I need you and I love you!" the Professor had tears running down his cheeks now. He took Ginger's slender hand and squeezed it. Then he bent down and they met in a passionate kiss.
"Oh, Professor, I love you too!"

That's all for now! Do you like it so far?

It's good so far. Kinda sad with Ginger being sick. But hey Professor and Ginger... yeah... It's going good.
