What Episodes Have Obvious Edits or Missing Cast do to cuts? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Guys,

There are a couple of episodes with names in the credits of LITB that do not appear in the episode versions of today because they were presumably cut for syndication? Does any have a list of what those episodes are?

Also, what are some obvious edits that you can see in today's TV Land versions....I have several:

1. Ward's opening narration from the first season telling what the story was about is long gone.

2. "The Bank Account" episode has several small cuts and scene changes that don't make sense. One cut I remember from syndication is that Wally and Beaver want to sneak out of school at noon to buy Ward the hunting jacket. He says, "We'll sneak out the girls exit. Mr. Johnson never watches that door." (This next part is cut) Beaver says "How come?" and Wally's line is "Cuz girls never do anything bad."

3. Another cut is in "The Price of Fame" restored on TV Land. With Beaver's head in the fense syndicate used to take out the part where the little dog comes by and licks Beaver's face the second time, also the part where Judy Hensler comes over with her friend and says "Beaver sits in the dumb row at school" and Beaver yells at her and Judy says her friend's mother is "taking them to a rich restraunt for lunch.....so there!" Beaver goes Ha-ha or something like that. This is cut from syndicate

4. Huge cut on "Beaver's Prize" the one where he sneaks out to the movies with Larry and wins a bike. He convinces Larry to take the bike with him so he doesn't get in trouble. TV Land cuts out the part with Mrs. Mondello yelling at Larry...."Now Larry, I want to know where you got the bike!" He makes up the story about the some millionare came up and got out of his car and gave him the bike..." Larry's mother has a conniption and starts chasing Larry into the house!" TV Land picks up where she calls Ward to tell him..."My husband doesn't think Larry should be keeping Beaver's bicycle."

Another cut is in the episode "Tennis, Anyone?". It's the part where Beaver and Gilbert spy on the girl Wally has been playing tennis with. That scene was edited out.

unfortunately i never got to experience the joys of the epi's being uncut but i thought something was definately wrong with Beaver's Prize...it just didn't make since
