Sad I feel rotten

I had work @ 12:45 so a little after 12 I left because I had to get gas. Well anyways, I get on Pine Street and see something in the middle of my side of the road. I thought it was a chipmunk and it was but it was still standing in the middle of my lane. I was going 30 (in a 25) and a motorcycle was coming my way. Now normally I like get on the other side of the road or jam on my breaks if no other cars are around, but since it was stil there I decided to just center it in the middle of my car so that way he'd be between me. Well, as soon as I did I heard a thump! Evidently he started to cross after I had gone by him and hit him. I looked back and saw him and then turned around and went by again and saw him still there. At that time I bawling and kept saying 'OMG!' I went gas and then I went by again (meangya it was already 12:30 and still only had 15 minutes to get there lol. He was still there paralyzed which of course started the tears. God, I was a complete wreck til I got to work and I was all upset about it all day. I just got home and drove by and noticed he was gone.. I wonder if he's alive? Whats weird is that yesterday I was thinking to myself-- what would I ever do if I ran over an animal? Lordy.. who knows what Id do if I hit a squirrel. This was all pretty random lol.. but I feel all guilty.

I feel your pain. I absolutely hate hitting any kind of animal. I try not to do it, of course, but if I do, I swear I scream when it happens. All I can think is that this animal you hit probably crawled out off the road.

Yah, I did this big gasp. Meangya I was crying so hard after I lost my breath. Well I hope it woke up and went back home or wherever. I feel better knowing its not there anymore and I like to make myself think its ok.

One time I hit a squirrel, because I couldn't slow down in time and there was someone behind me and I looked in the rear view mirror and he was flipping around in pain.I felt awful about it,but I knew there wasn't anything I could have done differently.

OMG!!!!!!! If that were me, I wouldve pulled over and helped it or something. Itd die anyways, but Id move it or something. Earlier I wanted to go pick up the chippy and bury him or something.. but decided not to. Last year, it was pouring out and I was coming home from Amandas after playing cards (at like midnite) and saw a frog. I thought I ran over it so I turned around and looked. I always do that-- turn around and look.

awwwwwww I'd be so upset if i hit an animal, i havent before *crosses fingers* but then again ive only had my license for 5 days!

I get really traumatized about animals- earlier this summer a baby bunny drowned in the pool during a storm...when I found it I was just shaking and and couldnt go near it, total wreck.
