Buffy Books - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Has anyone read any of the Buffy books that are out there? (Or Angel books?) Just wondering which ones were worth reading. I bought the Buffy phillosophy book today and started reading. It's a very thought-provoking read. I love "Chosen", though it's wickedly long (I've read it twice already). Most of the fiction Buffy novels I've read weren't anything to brag about. The writers spend way too much energy detailing monsters and extranneous characters and way too little energy outlining the growth and insights of the major Buffy characters.

I read a lot of them, they're definetely not as good as the show itself, but Nancy Holder wrote a pretty good one post-season 7: Queen of the Slayers.
And Christopher Golden writes a lot of interesting ones!

I've read (and own, yeah, sad story) almnost all (one or two short) of the published (as of now) books. Some of my favourites are The Gatekeeper Trilogy, The Wicked Willow Trilogy, and Tempted Champions (among many, many others). I like most of the authors, though I have to disagree with Katy on Nancy Holder, I find that she (or her editor) tends to make a lot of grammatical mistakes, and while her story ideas are always good, she sometimes makes plot jumps (kinda) and mistakes/oversights that kinda bug me (what can I say, I'm a perfectionist?). I will agree that Queen of the Slayers is her best one! And Christopher Golden is an excellent Buffy author.
