Thumbs down I hate my Cable Company's guts

....because I got a letter from them (Comcast) informing me that, effective September 23rd, my entire channel lineup will change with the exception of ABC, CBS and NBC.

They enclosed a chart that looked like the Dead Sea Scrolls with all of my current channels and their new locations. I have over 90 channels. I don't get it.

E! is supposed to be 45, not 34. Damn you Comcast.

Anyone else receive this letter from hell?

Yeah..that annoys the hell out of me. Cablevision does that like 4 times a year.

Yeah, that blows. I never understand why they need to do that.

At least you get a letter... Comcast does that to us without even informing us. It pisses me off so much because when you go to look for a channel, you can never find it.

Adelphia did that a little over a year ago. I hate when they changed all my stations. My mother said every once in a while cable companies are supposed to change..

I've had minor lineup channel changes in the past, but I don't recall such a major channel overhaul before. It's nuts.

The reason Comcast cited is, 'In order to prepare for the launch of our new technology, the following channels will be moving....'

Comcast can go screw themselves. I hope they don't do that here. I hate when cable companies do that...

My cable company here is Midcontinent Television, and they change channels VERY rarely (maybe once every four to five years). Every now and then (maybe every two years), they add two new channels, but nothing major to write home about. When they DO change, though, I welcome it. I like a little variety in my channel surfing.

Comcast did that to us about four years ago, when they were still TCI (and before they were AT&T Broadband). It was awful.

We have Time Warner and they do it every year or so. They put channel guides in the local papers and they always seem to concentrate on moving my favorite channels all around I don't understand why they have to do it anyway.
