In my opinion, Suzanne's exit was a massive blow to Three's Company, and the show never regained its greatness. It lost its footing and got sort of confusing for a while with Cindy and Chrissy's phone-ins, then Cindy and Terri, then just Terri. The show was thrown off balance.
I don't think it became unwatchable, and I enjoyed the last few seasons without Suzanne, but it was never the same for me. The original cast were the golden days of the show. I'll admit that I still resent Suzanne Somer's for causing all that trouble and just about ruining such a great show. |

The first 4 seasons were great. The rest were good. I think the show eventually survived even though there were a few episodes during season 5 that I didn't like. The show rebounded with Teri and I found her episodes to be good. And as for Suzanne, she should have realised that John Ritter was the star of the show and he was the one who wasn't replaceable.

I don't think it fully recovered. It was still a good show without Chrissy, but I thought the Chrissy years were better.
I thought Cindy and Terri's characters weren't fleshed out as well as Chrissy's was. I also thought Chrissy had more chemistry with Jack and Janet then Cindy and Terri had with them. I personally think that the show was best with the original roomate and the original landlords (although I do like Mr. Furley). |

I do think the show eventually made a full recovery. It wasn't immediate, but by the time Terri arrived, things had recovered. In my opinion, the Terri years are just as good if not better as the Chrissy years.
