Hi! I am wondering if any of y'all know the proper name for the Wings theme song? Either that, or a place where I can find sheet music for it or a recording? Thank you very much!

Hey, wingsfan, welcome to the Wings board!!
I don't know if there's an actually name for the Wings theme song. I do have the piano sheet music to this--2 different versions, easy and a more difficult piece--and the title simply reads The Theme Song to the TV Show Wings or something like that. The actual melody is from a composition called "Sonata in A" by Franz Schubert and was adapted and arranged by Antony Cooke. The difficult piece I have sounds more like the theme song than the easy one because it has alot more of the 'triplets'. If you want copies of both pieces(I had posted something about this before), just send me a private message or e-mail me with your home address and I'll send them ASAP. I promise your address will be kept in strict confidence. In fact, once the music is sent, I erase the address from my file. This is not copyright infringement either because I am not doing this for profit. Hope this helps!

Hi, WingsFan!
Hey, you got my old user name here, the one I had before I changed it to Snoopy I had to take a fine arts class in college, so I picked classical music appreciation. One day, the professor played a musical piece and asked if anyone recognized it. It was the Wings theme A few of us guessed it right too.

Yeah, it's an adaptation of the fourth movement (Rondo) from Schubert's Piano Sonata in A. The difference is just that the Wings version has more instrumentation and the ending is a little different...also, the Schubert version is longer. I know that the music for the Schubert sonata is available at some free sheet music websites.
