Feelings Gone Haywire . . . help! - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

Don't you just hate it when your feelings go haywire? Well . . . that's what happened to me today. I was waiting in line comfortably to get my pictures taken. Suddenly, one of my male classmates who happens to be very hot walked up near where I was at. I suddenly got an anxiety attack which totally through me off guard. Just the sight of his face gave me this very warm feeling inside of me. This is not unusual because I tend to get this way whenever he's three feet near me.
I absolutely hate this! It totally messes with me and my mind. It's bad enough that I can hardly talk to this guy (although I would like to). Whenever I feel an anxiety attack coming and he's the cause of it . . . I try to stay away from him as possible or I will turn my head away from him when he's near. I don't like these type of feelings and I would definitely like to know how to stop them. It's totally screwing me up. Do you guys have any suggestions?

Damn. You know I was just about to post something similar to this yesterday. There's a girl at school that I'm completely in love with, and If she even comes close to me I start freaking out. I mean, im shaking, my heart is beating sooo hard, I feel like I'm just gonna pass out....seriously. The other day she walked by and my friend Melanie was asking me if I was alright cause I was shaking so much. Its like a syndrome.

Unlike your situation with this guy, I stare at this girl whenever shes near me. I cant take my eyes off her! But I dont know any advice for you cause I feel the same thing towards this girl.

I tend to stare at this guy but I try not to make it obvious though.
Despite the fact of making it not obvious, I feel as though he knows something is up with me. I really don't know if he knows or not but I hope he doesn't. To make matters worse . . . whenever he looks (slightly or not) at me or even says something to me in that matter . . . my face will get real red and I will begin to blush some. I hate these feelings . . . because they absolutely drive me nuts.

i know the feeling as well. i hate it. the girl i love also happens to be one of my best friends, it complicates things for me to no end. I've told her how i feel, and have been told in nicer words i don't have a chance in hell

. it sucks, nad you never really deal with it like you should. i can't give you any advice my way of dealing it is not good, i avoid social contact as much as possiable

Well...hmm. I don't think the guy I was in love with in HS made me quite that nervous (no shaking anyway), but in all honesty, I don't think there's really many ways to shut off your feelings/hormones. You can try to think about something else I suppose, but I always found that really hard.

That happened to me all the time,in school,when I was around guys I liked.I blushed all the time and got very nervous and couldn't speak.It sucked,I wished that I could have just spoke to them and felt comfortable,but I always felt very uneasy around guys I loved.

Yeah, the guy I liked last year, i could never talk to him, I still cant cuz i think he's an ass but hey-LoL. I would get nervous if I saw him in the hall..it was like "oh my god-dont let him see, no let him see me! Then he'd see me and my heart would like skip. Oh man-that sucked-it was nerveracking to me. I didnt love this guy-he never talked to me anyway, how could u love a guy if they dont talk to you in person? Serioulsy-that guy is dumb. Id try to talk to him and id be like Hhhee..(as in Hey). God-it was so dumb!

Because usually it something that attracts you to that person. It's like seeing an item at the store that you really like. You see that item and then you have the desire to get it.

Yeah, that's how I am. They probably all think I'm some freak because whenever one talks to me, I either stand there shocked and don't say anything at all, or say something, but it'll come out a quiet mumble. Woohoo for me.
