Default Sanford Arms

does anyone remember the short-lived show "Sanford Arms"? It was a sort-of continuation of "Sanford & Son" that aired on NBC in the "S&S" time slot of fridays at 8, after NBC cannceled "S & S". It was about a widower with 2 kids, who moved into the Sanford house, after Fred & Lamont moved, and they operated it as a boarding house. Whitman Mayo, the guy who played Grady on "S&S" was also on it, as Grady, as was the guy who played Bubba on "S&S", and I think LaWanda Paige, who played Aunt Esther on "S&S" also played her on this show. I think it only lasted for 5 or 6 episodes.

I also remember it was BAD!!!!

I remember people talking about and I read some information about Sanford Arms as well, and it did have Aunt Eshter and Grady on it and yes, it did not last very long because of lack of ratings and also the fat that it was not very good

Yes there was a explanation but it didn't make any sense. Aunt Esther mentioned in the first episode of Sanford Arms that Fred and Lamont moved to Arizona because the heat will help his arthritis and the air will help his heart. Fred never had any health problems on Sanford ad Son which is why the explanation was inaccurate.

Default sanford arms

hello i have never seeen this sanford and son spinoff was the openigh the same as it was on sanford and son. and was the red truck still on there. that is kind of a odd explaintiong they gave for Fred and Lamonts Leaving was they ever mentiond again. and did they just give up the junk business. or did it go out of buisness. and did Lamont ever get married to that janet girl. and by the way i was thinking something else. it was kind of wierd that they said Fred and Lamont moved to arizonia. because on sanford the other spinoff,. think it became before or after not sure. Fred was back at the sanford and son house. looked the same . and they said Lamont moved to Alaska to work on pipeline . I dont think Lamont could move to 1 place to another in 1 year and Fred returing. at the house by himself. and having cal move in with him from out of nowhere. no Mention of Arizonia. and Bubba was never seen again. no mention of him at all. or donna. that whole think seems very very confusing. in any case is Sanford Arms playing anywhere i would love to see it thanks

No the opening was different. There was no truck and there was a dign hanging outside the Sanford Home that read SANFORD ARMS. Lamont was no seen at all and Grady was married to Dolly. I can copy the first episode of Sanford Arms for you if you send me a blank tape. If you are interested in receiving a copy of the show, email me at solomond@webtv.net

I've seen it. It was an all around bad idea. Simple as that!
