Thumbs up The Airplane(747) Episode With Bill and Brandon Cruz

Has anyone seen the episode with Bill Bixby and Brandon Cruz called "747"??? This was the first time that they both worked together since "The Courtship Of Eddie's Father" was cancelled in 1972. Anyway,it was an episode where the pilot drugs the passengers on the plane and it was up to the stewardess,David and Kevin(played by Brandon) to pilot the plane. It was the 5th episode of the first season. Also Brandon wore glasses in this episode and I couldn't believe how much he had grown into a teenager in this episode.

I love that epsiode. The Hulk flies a plane. That just kills me.

It was very clever of the folks behind the scenes to use some of Bill Bixby's former co-stars in various episodes.

I, too, love this episode. The 1979 Hulk card/sticker set features several great photos from this episode, particularly the ones involving the memorable second Hulkout that occurs while David is trying to fly the plane.

Yep. Look for Ray Walston of My Favorite Martian fame to show up in "My Favorite Magician" (cute title) sometime in Sept.

Hi! I remember this episode quite well. In fact, it's my favorite episode of "The Incredible Hulk", because Brandon Cruz guest-starred on it. I'm a very big Brandon Cruz fan.
Yes, Brandon Cruz wore glasses in this episode. He started wearing glasses when he was on "Courtship of Eddie's Father". I'm not sure if you remember the episode guest-starring Pat Harrington, Jr. from "One Day At A Time", but Brandon Cruz wore glasses in the closing "Peanuts" segment of that episode, which aired in early February 1972.

Always A Brandon Cruz Fan,

I love this episode also. The hulk-out while he flies the plane used to scare me when I was a child. It's funny how we see a scene totally differently as we get older.

Default "747" Guest-Starring Brandon Cruz

Hi! In a previous post here, I had mentioned that I thought Brandon Cruz started wearing glasses when he was on "Courtship of Eddie's Father". Boy, was I wrong about that! I own and moderate a group dedicated to his fans:
http://groups.yahoo.com/group/BrandonCruzFans and he joined it last year. I was chatting with him on it one day and he mentioned starting to wear glasses at age 5. By the time he was a guest-star on "The Incredible Hulk", he was almost 16 years old and his glasses were quite thick and strong by then. During his years on "Courtship of Eddie's Father", he wore his glasses behind-the-scenes and in school on the set. I even noticed on "Courtship of Eddie's Father" that he may have had strabismus asa a child, resulting in getting glasses at such a young age and needing to wear them all of the time, which is recommended in children younger thqan 7 or 8, in order to prevent lazy eye.

Always A Brandon Cruz Fan,
Liz Crasten
