It drives me nuts when dog owners let their dogs run loose instead of keeping them tied up or fenced in. I had a dog bark and chase after me today while I was walking around the neighborhood. When I started yelling at the dog to go home, the owner comes to the door and calls to her dog. I yelled to her that a viscious dog like that belongs on a leash. She just gave me a rude look, as if I was the one bothering her dog.
I love dogs, but irresponsable dog owners really annoy me. Maybe the dog was just playing, but I sure as heck didn't see it that way. I'm calling the dog catcher if I ever see it out on the loose again.

My next-door neighbors have two Jack Russell Terriers. They are very responsible dog owners. A couple of years ago one of them got out of the yard while nobody was home. The other JRT, who was actually the mother of that dog, starting barking and howling. When I went over to return the escapee only to have to go back home and wait, that dog followed me home. She seemed to like my yard and my cat's food and she tried to sniff my cat, who does not like dogs AT ALL. My dog was pretty unhappy and when the Jack Russell came to the front door, she (my dog) ran to the sliding glass window and growled while baring her teeth as if saying, "Not so fast!" This Jack Russell escaped three times but since then, she hasn't stepped out of bounds. I just love those dogs but my parents call them "The Jack Russell Terrorists."

I agree. Around here though, we and our neighbors let our dogs loose for a while because they get along and we all know eachother, but its intimidating when youre walking your dog down a street where you dont know the other dogs.

When I was living at my old house . . . there was this small dog that use to chase my sibling and I up and down the street. Even when we were riding our bikes, that stupid dog chased us. After awhile of being chased all the time, I so wanted to run that mut over with my bicycle! All it did was just cause problems. The owners of dog were so blind that they never once saw their own dog chase me and/or my sibling. I wasn't surprised because they were in their house while that beast tortured the living daylights of not only me and my sibling, but the whole entire neighborhood. They would get awfully nasty when someone told on their dog . . . and then they would start blaming on not themselves but on other people instead. I absolutely hated that! One time, I got even and I shoveled a bunch of dog crap over to their property. When they saw the crap, they suddenly became bewildered and thought their small dog created that big mess.
THEY WERE SO STUPID! |

I sooooo know what you mean, where I used to live that was a big problem me and my brother couldn't even go in our front yard without some boxer (no offense to boxers but they should've been fenced in) chasing us. One time (this is where I live now) me and my bro were riding our bikes and this humongous dog (don't know what kind) starting chasing us we both it scared us too death. *quivers at the thought of it again*.
