woman's name was amy billig.
guy in mexico was named gordon joe collins. no update on him. amy billig has been missing for nearly 30 years. most evidence points to her being dead. one biker said on his deathbed that she was killed the day she was kidnapped. njf |

There was an update at the end of the story about the producer who was a child molester. They said they found his body near railroad tracks in Canada (I think in 1998) and he apparently died of a heart attack but police were still going to look into his death.

Worse than not knowing what happened to their daughter, in the 1990's, Mrs. Billing kept receiving calls from a man claiming still have her daughter in custody. He would call practically every night. This was even featured on 20/20 few years ago. This lunatic gave her false hope that her daughter might have been still alive. Eventually, they found this guy and he ended up in jail.
Turns out he had nothing to do with Amy's disappearance, didnt' know anything and was just harrassing the mother.

To the end of her life, my mom was convinced that Amy Billig was alive and that they would catch up with her some day. For instance, what if Amy got away and changed her name and is in hiding. Her elective mutism will take a long time to resolve. I've had that, and it happens when people constantly punish you for talking or constantly find fault with what you say or how you say it.
We always agreed that we believed this is one mystery that will be solved eventually. |

On todays episode there was a guy named james who has a twin in Rockford, Illinois. I'm from rockford and was curious if he ever found his twin and possible half sister. From what i see, they aired original segments on Sep 2nd, 1992 and Feb 9th, 1993, and probably more. His name was James, his twins name might be Billy. Any help would be great. Thanks.

This thread had a 30 month gap between posts. I wonder what the record is?
Actually, I guess I shouldn't be asking questions like that or crystaldawn will ask me to figure it out and let us know. BTW, so far I've excluded 19 segments from being the middle case.

Thats a great idea about you figuring out the record for gaps between posts. Maybe we should start up a trivia thread and let Awsi be in charge of all the research. So you've excluded 19 so far, sounds like you've been working hard on your pet project. Off the top of my head I could probably exclude about 100 from being the middle case as well.
