Martin Luther King Speech at the end of "Vanessa's Bad Grade" really confused me
because nothing else in the episode had nothing to do with MLK. The episode went from a silly moment straight to a serious monent once the huxtables entered the lving room. I didn't see any significance because he was killed in 1968 and that episode was in 1985 so it wasn't a 20 year anniversary. And the month he was killed was in April and that episode was not aired in April so i'm just trying to figure out why the episode ended with a MLK sppech. Anyone know?

When both of them were listening and watching the speech on TV, you could see in their facial expressions that they should put their differences aside. Maybe I'm wrong about this, but that's just my take on what happened. |
