Default Why didn't Janet have a boyfriend...

...before Phiilip?? I mean, she WAS pretty. Okay, maybe not outright sexy like Chrissy and maybe Jack didn't salivitate over HER...but still. How come she never had a steady guy??

She was secretly in love with Jack the whole time and couldn't get serious with any other guys as a result. That would be nice, but she probably just wasn't ready to lock herself in with one person until the guy she married (who was ugly as hell if you ask me).

The same reason none of the other roommates, including Jack in terms of "real time" as opposed to "episode time", had a steady significant other. It would have changed the chemistry, the relationship the roommates had with each other.

A significant other would also result in story lines that diverged from the focus of the show which was the three roommates and sometime antics of their landlord.

Maybe Janet had other things going on with her life that she did not need a boyfriend at the time; she could easily get one, because she was a very beautiful and very intelligent woman

JamesC, has it right about it messing up the chemistry of the show. Usually I will think that we don't see everything that goes on in their lives. The show always seemed to show Jack with girls, but tended to push the other roomates off to the side as far as their dating lives went. And heck, they didn't even show Jack with a steady girlfriend more than once (I don't count Linda--that was patheticlly rushed). I know he was a player, but I'm sure he dated some girls a bunch of times, even though we only will see one girl once. I am guessing Janet had the same luck in dating. I mean, who could really go that many years without being with someone for at least a couple months at a time?

She was much more sexy then Chrissy. Thats why i don't understand why she never had a BF on the show.

PS. Solomon, that was not funny!
