I saw the '94 version with the comeback Richard Dawson. I saw it on True Hollywood Story that the version made a disapointted in the ratings and finally cancelled in 1995. GSN never aired the '94 version except GSN had the original Feud with Richard Dawson and the revival with Ray Combs. The '94 version was a failure to the popular classic. It has the theme music which was used as a car plug from "The Price Is Right". How do you think of that!

First of all, Howard Felsher is a bitter idiot. Don't listen to a damn thing he says.

Second, if you can't hear him, TURN UP THE VOLUME! Sheesh...some people make it so hard. "I couldn't hear him" is a very weak excuse for why a show fails. People just use that either because they have something against Richard, or they can't come up with anything better.

The main reason(s) it failed were probably...

1. It got dropped in a lot of markets.

2. If not dropped, many put it on late at night.

3. CHEAP!! They gave away less money on that version sometimes than they did in 1976.

4. 4 instead of 5 contestants just...didn't cut it.

5. Bankroll round. Bad idea as the Bullseye round w/ Combs, even worse here.

6. Some people who tuned in expected to see the same Richard they watched in the 70s...they didn't get that. Though he didn't change that much, IMO.

7. It had plain run itself into the ground. And now look at it.

I agree about Howard. It seems that he couldn't get along with anyone from what I have heard in interviews and such. He complains about everyone.

They'll have to get the rights to The Price is Right first. The two shows come as a package.
