...watched a full episode of this show, it looks like it's pretty funny, but I've got a question. I know Alex is a Republican, and his parents are Democrats. But, is Alex a CONSERVATIVE, and are his parents LIBERALS? Are all three Liberal? Are all three Conservative? I remember a funny line I HAVE heard on this show:
Alex: You guys, I just did something today I thought I'd never do.. His Dad: Help a Democrat cross the street?

Steve and Elyse were liberals. Both were "flower children" in the '60's. Alex was a conservative. He had pictures of Nixon and Reagan in his bedroom.
Its a good show, very funny. I wish that it had a better time slot though. |

Alex is about as Conservative as a person can be. Like Crimson and Clover said, it is a great show. If you have a vcr, you might want to start taping the episodes. It probably wont be airing on Nick At Nite for too much longer.

Hmm, I wonder if I'd like this as much as I like All in the Family. Thanks for the info.

To me, FT and Aitf are running neck and neck. Along with Roseanne and The Wonder Years, they're my favorite shows. Family Ties definitely doesn't deal with issues as seriously as AITF does, but I find it to be just as funny.

Have they released any DVD's of this show? If so, which one(s)? If not, how close are they to doing it?

The timeslot is a definite problem. I wonder how much longer they will air it at all. It's one of my favorite shows.
