didn't she cry during the first season, in the episode where her mom comes to visit, and she has an affair with another parent who used to be her old boyfriend? blair's mom slapped her, and she ran upstairs crying, and saying how she never wanted to be like her mom.

You're right. I have that one on tape. She does cry. But that is the only one in all of the episodes (and that one is in the first season, remember, when Blair smoked (mainly in the pilot & first episode)

You know, she didn't like REALLY cry in that episode. She had that look like she was going to cry, but she never actually shed a tear I don't think. Just like when she found out her mom might have cancer, she looked like she was about to cry, but she never really did. And even when she sort of broke down when she was in the hospital and she had that gash on her forehead, we never saw actual tears. And by the way, Tootie had a lot of crying moments, almost as many as Jo if you think about it. Ok, not THAT many, but there were a lot.

She cried in Adventures in Baileysitting and when she found out her mom had a lump on her breast. And didn't she cry in Less Than Perfect?

Tootie: hot stuff coming through, and the pizza's are warm too!

Jinny: i think i am going to give up men
Magda: you, give up sex?
Jinny: i didn't say i was giving up sex, i just said i was giving up men! to tell you the truth i kinda like the idea of becoming intamate with something that comes with a money-back gaurentee!

Jinny: You sure he's still up and moving around there, Cap?
Captin: Jinny do you really think that a crack about the age of your commanding officer is the smartest thing you could say under the circumstances
Jinny: umm.. probley not
Captin: thats what I thought

She does tear up several times but no real waterworks. Of course, we are talking about *Blair* here -- a crying fit is really tough on the makeup! <grin>

Wiping tears - Jo leaves for California &
"Molly's Holiday" when she admits being envious.
Dry sobs - "Less than Perfect" & "Adventures in Baileysitting"
Oncoming breakdown - "A Friend in Deed" (they end the scene -- or cut it? -- as she begins to lose it.

There may be more but those come to mind.

Kim Fields had real tears in the Breaking Point episode and in the episode where she was loosing her hearing. Lisa Whelchel cried but she wasn't as good as a dramatic actress as the others imo.

Gemini, please stop bumping up threads more than 15 years ago. This right here is a prime example of why it's pointless. You're responding to someone who never registered here. They were a guest when it was allowed almost 20 years ago. If there's a topic that fascinates you, start a new thread on it to discuss with fans who are currently here. Thank you!
