Cool What TV has taught us

#1. My next-door neighbor and I will either be the best of friends or worst enemies. Neighbors don't just co-exist peacefully.

#2. It's always the red wire.

#3. The closer a law enforcement officer gets to retirement, the more likely he will die a premature death.

#4. Babies tend to age much faster than normal.

#5. Everything always ends up happily.

#6. The protagonist always wins.

#7. Young children and babies don't need constant supervision.

#8. I can alter my appearance drastyically or just disappear without warning, and no one will notice or care.

#9. All important events in my life will happen in November, February, or May.

#10. People rarely talk about past events, unless it's a very special flashback episode.

-There's always at least one bitter, sarcastic, cynical character, usually in the workplace.
-The kids are always bratty.
-Spouses never get along with their in-laws.

High school students either excel in academics or athletics, but never in both.

High school students also can't be both beautiful and intelligent.

Smart kids are never popular.

(Personally, when I was in high school, there were a lot of students who were great in both academics and sports. There were also many popular kids who were smart. Maybe I went to a weird high school or something.)

-That if you go out of town, and you leave your pet in the care of a friend/relative, the pet WILL die while you're gone. That happens on just about every sitcom. And then the friend tries to replace the pet w/ an identical animal, but it never works!

1) that you can be a teacher with a classroom full of students, and only 4 of them will ever talk. ("Welcome back, Kotter")

2) that you can work in a room full of people, and only a few of them ever talk. ("The Mary Tyler Moore show", "Taxi")

3) that you can go into a bar, have as many drinks as you want, and hardly ever pay for them-or run up a HUGE tab! ("Cheers")

Yeah, lol. That was rich. I was a big viewer of GH back then, and it was too much to take. Poor Scotty Baldwin.

Great topic Snoopy!
