I recall an episode where Wojo was interviewing a Hutterite or some such sect member and was awed that his community did not do a thing unless it was found in the bible. The dialogue as I recall went something like this...
WOJO: You mean, you don't read the newspaper? HUTTERITE MAN: It ain't in the bible. WOJO: No radio... TV? HUTTERITE MAN: Isn't in the bible! WOJO: Well... what do you do for entertainment? HUTTERITE MAN: Got 14 kids! WOJO: - Mouth agape - silent... HUTTERITE MAN: It's in the bible! I'd love to locate the exact quote for this to use as a comical illustration! Can anyone help me out? TKS. |

I think that was "The Desk," from season 6.
Here is the TV Tome description: A former master criminal becomes a walking zombie following his lobotomy; a man is unable to use the telephone after being mugged because he's Amish. Jeff Corey, who appeared previously as "The Prisoner," was a renowned acting teacher. |

I just watched that episode on tape like three hours ago! It's not Wojo, it's Harris. Here's how it goes:
Harris: You can't drive a car? Amish fellow: No automobiles in the Bible, sir. Harris: Or go on an airplane? Amish fellow: Not in the Bible. Harris: No movies? No television? No discos? What can you people do? Amish fellow: Got 14 kids. That's in the Bible. |
