Yeah, I did. I have it on tape. That (NBC) episode is from January 7, 1984 (I think) and Iola didn't appear on MF until June 1986, and by then they were syndicated so things were changed slightly.

And hey, there were 2 years or so for Mrs. Boylan to get bed-bound, so it's okay that was doin' the trash then! lol

AND THANK YOU FOR SPELLIN' HER NAME RIGHT---WITHOUT ANY "D"!!!

OMG. I never thought about that! A LOT can happen in two years. Thanks for thinking of it...I don't know why I didn't think of it sooner.

Some people might think that spelling it with a D is the right way!

The non-D ending is correct however, but it's Boylen, not Boylan. Just to clear up any confusion.

Yes, thank you!

And I believe I heard from someone online who won a MF script that they confirmed it without the "D", also.

And I, for one, never heard any "D", so that's why I was always wonderin' why some people put it on! lol

So, do WE see "MRs. Boylen" on camera when Mama says that?

I have always thought/said "Boylen" because that's what the Caption has on TBS. But, it COULD be wrong, because one time on "Full House" on TBS, Steve (DJ's boyfriend) said, "Mr. Tanner", and the caption had "Mr. Taylor".

Yep, we see Mrs. Boylen. She's just some white-haired short lady in a blue dress (I think) takign out the garbage when Mama drives by.

You always watch TV w/ captioning turned on, right? So do I!

OMG! I just had a thought(and it doesn't happen often), but I was visualizing that scene when Mama yells to Mrs. Boylen and I thought, Isn't that the same woman who came in with her husband when Mama got the job at the Raytown Travel Agency?
I could be wrong. I have that ep on tape somewhere. I'll have to look at it. But does anyone know offhand if it is the same lady?

Thanks, and yeah, I *always* have Captioning on. I don't have any hearing problems or anything, I just hate to miss stuff. (Nobody make any jokes about me being a Conservative and missing things, now )

Well if that was Mrs. Boylen, then there was a major goof in the episode where Mama slips on the roll of pennys at the bank and falls, and they end up trying to sue, well anyways Iola says, "Take it easy Thelma, mother sliped 25 years ago and never was able to walk again"! Sry those are not the exact words but it was close to that! LoL so I gusse this is a Boylen Mystery??

Iola: "Mother fell down 25 years ago and hasn't gotten up since!"

BUT, I think she's exagerratin', cause in the "taxes" episode she also said,

"Oh come on Thelma, admit it, it's a thrill to get that big green check in the mail. When ours came, Mother got so excited she walked around the bedroom...twice!"

(maybe not word for word, but just about, lol)
