The Second Time Around - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This is SO weird....Now that I'm watching the early "Wings" episodes for the second time during the present NICK cycle, I'm finding that I'm enjoying many of them even MORE now than I did the first time I watched them!

This has NEVER happened to me before with ANY TV show, comedy or drama....normally my repeat viewings of shows are "just OK", but they're not usually MORE enjoyable than they were the first time.
Maybe it's because now I know the personalities and quirks of the characters better than I did the first time....Who knows, but it IS a strange situation for me!

yup, that happens to me too. but with me, it's happened before with other shows too.

hahaha! noooooooooooooooooooooooooo!
with the Cosby show it was the opposite- the first time around i liked it. then after that, i got sick of it. and then i just got annoyed with it that N@N puts it above all of their other shows.

I understand what you mean. There have been other sitcoms I have enjoyed watching in syndication, but Wings has been different.

Unlike most on this board that got introduced to the show mainly on the USA network, I watched the show from the beginning on NBC. I knew USA ran it, but I never watched it at that time for a variety of reasons.....but once I stumbeld across the Wings marathon on Nick I was glad to see it again, and now I'm hooked all over again. And if the show is ever released on DVD I'll probably wear out a DVD player or two watching Wings!

I never get tired of watching most Wings episodes, unlike with some other shows like Everybody Loves Raymond. I like that show, but I find that there aren't too many episodes I can watch more than twice.
