I'm not sure about this, but it seems to me that the Hackett brothers had to have the SADDEST family background of any TV sitcom characters....a father who was in and out of mental institutions and a mother who ended up in prison....certainly not "Leave It To Beaver" material!

It's a credit to the brothers that they ended up as well as they did...even Brian!

And Helen was overweight and lonely as a child and Antonio apparenltly got picked on a lot in school. They didn't seem to have happy childhoods, did they?
