Of the five waitresses the had throughout the run of the show, who was your all-time favorite? My #1 fave was definatly Vera, followed by Alice and Flo (tied). I liked Belle a little more than Jolene.

I like them all but Flo was my favorite. I liked Jolene better than Belle but I did like Dianne Ladd in the movie Alice Doesn't Live Here Anymore.

I gotta go with Flo (forgive the rhyme).

But there is no show without Alice- Linda Lavin being the glue that held the show together.

My vote is for Polly Holliday as Flo and my 2nd is for Belle and followed by Alice, Vera, and last Jolene.

I have to say that Alice, Vera, Flo and Jolene were my most favorite characters. I have a hard time saying that one of them was my most favorite character since they worked well together.
ALthough I can say Diane Ladd's character Belle was the odd one out. the year that she was on it appeared that chemistry of show took a hit, but is recovered some when Jolene came on.

Belle was to ALice what Cindy snow was to three's company and Allison Sugarbaker was to Designing Women.

I would have to go with JoLene! She was the funniest with her accent..followd by Belle, THEN Vera...

I loved them all, but charismatic Flo was always my sentimental favourite. Polly Holliday was great in that roll hence the "Flo" Spinoff.
I loved Alice & Vera too - Linda Lavin has such a great singing voice!

Flo, Alice and Vera in that order. Didn't like Belle. She annoyed me with that Uncle Bud song, Jolene was okay but not memorable.
