Marriage Brokers/Starstruck

First off, I really liked Marriage Brokers. Jo has always been my favorite, but I think I'm liking Blair so much more during this second run. I just knew that her Barney guy would turn out to be something cute. I love the way she treats guys. Its hilarious.

As far as Starstruck, did N@N cut out a scene or something? It seemed that they never really wrapped up Jo's subplot. Tootie blew her off, and Jo had every right to be pissed, but they never had closure. I never realized that Mrs. G was such a pushover! I'm dating myself, but when I wanted to go to the Def Leppard concert when I was 17 and my parents told me "no" because I had gotten in trouble at school, it took me at least a week of crying like Tootie to my dad about it. My mom just ignored me. But poor Tootie. She learned the Facts of Life there. Rock stars are scum.

Four Muskateers tonight! I know I can't wait!

I was very surprised the way the episode ended last night. I had never heard of the rock star before, guess he's related to Michael Jackson, but you'd think he'd want the script to make him look better.. It didn't make him look really bad or anything, but it could of been better.

Marriage Brokers was good. Blair is really cracking me up during these Season 3 episodes. I liked how she sat Mrs Garrett down and tried to give her boyfriend advice. Nat's line about Blair having a brilliant idea that actually was also cracked me up.

I couldn't believe Tootie had such a hissy fit/tantrum over a Jermaine Jackson concert. I'm not dissing Tootie, but I really thought that she should've at least considered putting her friends ahead of that concert.

Slightly off topic but I think Tootie could've stepped aside and let Nat have a chance to be the star of that 'South Pacific' episode that aired earlier this week. Tootie just seems a little selfish but I guess we all probably went through that at her age. I know my sister did, lol!

Mrs.Garret was very understanding in Starstruck.She sensed the passion that Tootie had for Jermaine(one of the Jackson boys)and realized that it could go out of control if she wasn't allowed to go to the concert that she had been,after all,given free tickets to- by a publicity man who did that every day:-) Jermaine was nice to Tootie,but she realized that he was not everything the magazines said he was-and that she was not as special to him as she had hoped.(There were many fanclub presidents at that door.)

Mrs.Garrett also saw that the passion had virtualy gone at the end.She realized that Tootie had gone through disillusionment that only a fan can have.

Here comes a sad truth:The surest way to lose avid fandom is to actualy meet the one you're a fan of.

You said it,Jo&Rick.Jackson had no time to give everything to every fan-and in the long run,Tootie should be grateful that he gave her what little time he had.The big meeting wasn't what Tootie had hoped for,but still- she had a chance to chat with Jackson a little-which is more than can be said for many of the other fans there.

I am grateful that there were a few stars I have written to who took time to send me actual letters and personaly autographed pictures.There are a few people I haven't even bothered to send fan letters to because they have too many fans to even send a stamped-autographed picture to all of them. There are people who are grateful to their longtime fans and do acknowledge.

Looking back on this episode, the only real disappointing thing about it was the fact that they chose Jermaine Jackson as the big star.

I mean, Jermaine Jackson? Tito was cooler. Michael was more famous. Janet was on Good Times.... but they chose Jermaine?

Oh well... it was still a decent episode. But when did Tootie shift her fenaticism from Michael to Jermaine?

I said "Whoooa" in my mind. that girl was really obsessed. That was scary. I liked how she was breathing. That was funny B4 the drama started. Actually she was hypreventalating to beats. NAN used the breathing segments on the "Facts of Tootie" high school yearbook.
