Default Newbie on board and a question

Hi guys. Long time Wings fan here (I started watching this show on USA) who just found this place. I taped all the eps off of USA a few years back and I'm noticing a lot of stuff in the Nick feeds that weren't shown when USA ran them (a 20 second scene in last nights ep alone). I have decided to retape them because of this. Anyway I was wondering if anyone knew if Nick was showing the Wings eps uncut?

Welcome Happenstance!

As far as I can tell, Nick is showing the episodes uncut. Which is great.

I had taped a handful of episodes when the show originally aired on NBC, and when I compared those episodes to those that Nick is running today, nothing was cut out. I know ususally in syndication this doesn't happen, but it is possible that the contract with Nick doesn't allow them to cut out any scenes.

Unfortunately one of the big negatitves with Nick is in the later episodes (season 6 etc..) Wings often had fun scenes going on during the credits and Nick talks all over them. But at least they are showing the entire episodes as near a I can tell.

Tell me about it. They completely destroy the tag scenes with that stupid TV appreciation guy or Cheers upcoming info crap. Like fans of that show won't know what the episode is about anyway. And they can't be trying to attract new viewers at midnight, can they? Although I think I have a way around the tag scene problem. I'll record the tag scenes of my USA tapes into my Tivo then when I copy the Nick feed eps over to tape use the USA tag scenes.

As far as I can tell, it's uncut. And I taped most of them off of USA as well. However, there are a couple scenes I noticed N@N cut out. And both scenes refer to terrorists. So they were obviously cut for content. Which I think is stupid, but as long as we know the reason.

Hopefully that was a 1 time thing. I mean 9/11 was 2 years ago. People make terrorist jokes all the time. Why edit out a show that ended years ago? Only at Nick-at-Nite.

Welcome to the board, Happenstance!!

Yes, 9/11 was 2 years ago, but I guess N@N were probably afraid they would get angry calls from viewers, if they show the 'terrorist' scenes.

I don't see why they took out the terrorists references either Yet, they showed the episode when Brian and Antonio almost got hijacked by the bank robber and the one when the angry air-traffic controlller took Antonio hostage inside the airport. That doesn't make much sense to me at all.

I don't like that N@N voice-over guy either. i want to watch the end credits! I also want to watch Wings at a decent timeslot.
