Cool When did you start watching Wings?

I started watching it on NBC the summer before the 6th season started (1994). My mom was a big fan from the beginning, but I was too young to really enjoy it. (The show premiered the week after my 9th birthday.) I was still into shows like Full House and Home Improvement (which I wouldn't watch now if you paid me) when Wings started. In middle school, I started paying attention to more of the "grown-up" shows, like Frasier, Seinfeld, Wings, and others.

I watched Wings off and on during its original run. Although I didn't watch it every week, I did like the show and watch it on Nick At Night.

Well, when Wings was in it's first-run on NBC, I remember watching it once in a while, because my parents used to watch it. I don't think they watched it every week, but I think they watched it pretty often, and I remember watching it once in a while. But I was only between the ages of 8 and 15 when it was on NBC, so i wasn't really into it all that much.
But anyway, when it came to Nick at Nite a few months ago, I kind of watched a few episodes during the marathon, only because I didn't have anything else to do. lol.
I remembered the show, and I remembered all the characters... wait! you know what's so funny? You know how Joe is one of my favorite characters now? When I started watching the show on N@N, I remembered all of the other characters EXCEPT for Joe! haha! The first time I watched it on Nick, I was like, "ooh. who's that cute guy?" lol I didn't remember him at all.
But anyway, yeah- I saw a few episodes during the marathon, and then watched a couple of episodes when they started running it from the beginning, but it wasn't until they started showing season 2 when I really got into it and had to watch it every night...

I started watching from day one (April 19th, 1990).

I like the fact that the show has kind of stood the test of time and is recruiting new fans all these years later.

That's EXACTLY the way that I got hooked on "Wings"....I caught a few episodes during the NICK marathon, started watching somewhat regularly during the early "2 episodes at 11 PM" period, and then REALLY became a fan during the Season 2 shows.

Yes, my "Wings" story is JUST like Krista's....well, that is, everything except the part about thinking "Ooh, who's that cute guy?" when Joe appeared!!!!!

I don't remember the first time I ever saw the show. But I remember years ago when it was on Thursdays and my Dad watched it. I started watching it on USA I think back in 1994. My older sister and I used to watch it at 11:00pm. We also used to watch "Quantum Leap" after Wings. I loved that block.

Then in 1995, when "NewsRadio" started on NBC, I watched "Wings" waiting for "NewsRadio." I got into the show somewhat. I remember watching the wedding episode when it was new. And then I watched the first half of the seventh season. And then I watched the series finale in it's original run.

In 1999, when "NewsRadio" left UPN (known to me as MVC) in reruns, I was obsessed with finding another workplace comedy to tape. I watched "The Gift part 1" on USA and then started watching it every morning in the summer. In 2000, after I graduated, I taped "Wings" every morning on USA. Then in December 2000, I started working at Kroger while USA was in the seventh season. Then it left USA. I was as devastated as someone can be when a show leaves a channel. Because I knew "Wings" wasn't the type of show that was in demand. I thought I'd never see it again. Since I missed the last half of the seventh season and all of the eighth season, I really wanted to have the whole show on tape. Then it came to N@N. Umm, the end.

I saw a few first runs when I was younger but never really even tried to get into the show till I saw it on USA. 2 days in and I was hooked.

Also for me it was on USA back in 94. I remember it came on in the evening when I got home from work. I had a good friend at work & every morning the first thing we'd do is have a "did you see on Wings yesterday?" session. We *laughed* it was so funny. I was glad to have someone to talk the eps over with. Now I just have y'all.

I first started watching it about 1995 on NBC. Once it went to USA, I got to catch up on all the earlier episodes, and that's all it took, I was a Wings fan for life

I started watching it sometime during its original run on NBC, though I only watched it every once in awhile, and my parents used to watch it. I was mainly in junior high and high school when it was on, and I remember I thought Tim Daly was really cute (then again, I still do!). One of the episodes I vividly remember watching was the season finale where Helen gets engaged and ends up in bed with Joe, and I was in agony waiting for the season premiere to see what happened. I never watched it when it was on USA for some reason, so I had forgotten a lot of the episodes, and there are just a few that, when I see them on N@N, I think, "Oh yeah, I remember this one!" I really started getting into the show during the marathon on N@N, and especially during the time when they aired it at 11...the good old days!

Unfortunately, I'm always skeptical when it comes to new shows, especially comedies, because I automatically think it's going to be too silly. So I never saw Wings from the beginning. I was at a friend's house who I had a crush on, and he turned on Wings, and I remember it was the Ladies Who Lunch episode. I also remember he said he thought Crystal was hot and asked me if I ever watched this show. At the time, I didn't, but because he did, I did, and that started it. When USA started airing it, I watched it every time it was on, in addition to the new episodes on NBC. Of course, I was hooked!! My sister is even into it, but she's more of a TV fiend than I am.
