I looked on IMDB and this is what I saw for 2004-

http://us.imdb.com/Title?0373908

Cedric the Entertainer and Mike Epps?
I assume Ralph and Norton respectively.

Unless this title has nothing to do with the original series.

I thought that was a little odd. I guess they're putting a new twist on the Honeymooners.

But I am outraged that they are going to do a Feature Film on one the greatest classic TV shows in history...
There are two classic TV shows that simply cannot be remade & they are I Love Lucy & The Honeymooners.

Viacom/Paramount must really be desperate & greedy to make a movie that Jackie Gleason would have never approoved of!
I mean the poor guy is turning in his grave right now!

No Offense, but Cedric the Entertainer as Ralph Kramden?
That's like casting a Jeffersons movie with Tom Arnold as George Jefferson.
What the hell is Paramount thinking?
Are they smoking crack at these production meetings?

Cedric the entertainer is funny in other films, but trying to do Jackie Gleason in a new Honeymooners film?
NEVER!
This movie will bomb!!!

No true Honeymooner fan will ever accept this!
There was only one Jackie Gleason, one Art Carney & they could replace Audrey & Joyce a few times, but you can never ever have anyone else playing Ralph & Norton!
It will never work!
Paramount, scrap this one & leave well alone!
Your making a huge mistake!

How many of you agree with me?
I agree with you that this is a stoopid idea, EXCEPT...

You all remember the tv sitcom "Roc", with Charles S. Dutton and Rocky Carroll? Well, originally, that show was supposed to be a Black "Honeymooners", with Dutton as Ralph and Carroll as Norton. Fortunately, smarter heads prevailed and the show was retooled to Sutton and Carroll's strengths.

So, I guess that we'll just have to see what they do with this property and hope it doesn't really suck so bad!!
