Jery Orbach is irreplaceable, but Chris Noth (Logan) and George Dzundza (Greevey) were great too. I also liked Adam Schiff (Steven Hill), and I think the producers were wrong to fire Hill. Broooks (Robinette) and Moriarty (Stone) were good too.

Briscoe(my all-time favorite character!!!) & either Green or Curtis. Logan was just too macho for me!! Sorry if I offended any of Logan's (aka Chris Noth) fans.

Woah, did you hear something? Or was that just a general comment?

Jerry is getting up there in years and the show is still popular! I kind of liked Briscoe with Logan over Briscoe and Curtis my second choice. Curtis came off a little too sensitive for a cop.

Lenny Brisco's wisecracking humor in the face of all the misery the cops have to face each day is a breath of fresh air. I did like Logan's wisecracks, but his character was a bit too edgy for my tastes.... Brisco uses his humor as a release, Logan more like a sword. It just seemed to me that Logan had too many personal issues and he didn't mind letting them get in the way of his job. With all Lenny has gone through in his personal life, he rarely lets it interfere with the job he has to do. Together they were good, but then I like Brisco with Curtis and Green... let's face it, you could put anyone with Brisco and he would be great and make his partner look great.

I will tell you my secret favorite team.... Remember when Homicide: Life on the Streets was on? And L&O did some two parters with that show? That is when we were introduced to Munch (Who was later transfered to NY and put with the SVU team). Now Munch is a bit dark for me, but you have to admit the love/hate relationship between Munch and Brisco the few times they were forced to work together was very humorous! And I think it was a scream that the writers had Brisco date Munch's ex, considering the philosophy Brisco treats us to on the subject of ex's.... real ironic humor there! My favorite scene was when Munch first found out and over several games of pool, Brisco is trying to talk about the case and Munch is grilling Brisco about Brisco's past relationship with Munch's ex.... Just goes to prove too, that when playing pool, you have to keep your mind on the game.... Brisco took Munch to the cleaners! LOL

I've genuinely liked every pairing but Brisco & Logan were my favorite. I liked Logan and Greevey and Logan and Cerreta, however, I agree with Luckymama58 - Brisco works with anyone.
My only wish is that they get rid of the incredibly wooden Rohm.
