I have to admit, Reilly is doing one thing right so far: using Alice.

Well, hopefully. But, at least it looks like Reilly is putting Jarlena back front and center, or at least on nearly every day.

everybody thinks it's great about reilly using alice here. i feel that way too. but i do wish that all the hortons had bigger roles. they only use maggie at the restuarant. mickey is on for holidays and a court appearances.
bringing doug and julie back once in awhile is great, but not for long. because thay are never involved in a story, really, just supporting it. so short visits are great.
laura being back for the wedding is not enough. mike can stay gone if they will not do anything with him.
the bottomline is, BRING BACK BILL HORTON!!!!!!! so much that has not ben touched on here. he hasn't been on since Tom's funeral in '94. the tension with him and jack and jennifer. his lack of relationship with lucas and will. the completeness of detail of his time with kate and any altercations with curtis reed.
and then new stuff. christopher stone died so a recast would be needed. IF they could get ed mallory, that would be great.
us older fans would like to see some older characters. well, at least i would.

Is it true that Reilly fired Matthew Ashford(Jack)? If so then I am definitely done with Days for good, MA is one of the truly good things about the show these days.

The show isn't commenting, but many soap magazines are reporting that it has happened. I'm thinking it's more than likely that it's true, unfortunately. Jack will probably be one of the serial killer's victims.
