Not all of my tapes are excellent quality either. It really all depends upon whether or not the trader claims that his stuff is better than reality.

As far as shipping is concerned, media mail takes a long time sometimes. We have to expect that when we're cutting corners and not using Priority Mail.

My 2 cents worth...

Hey KR,

What show did you get off him? Did he ship using Media Mail? I hope not because I hate Media Mail since stuff gets lost in the mail when you send using Media Mail.

I know that I'm very blessed, but I have shipped and received thousands of packages over the last five years with our book business and have never lost one package media mail going either direction. I've found that often when packages supposedly don't arrive, most of the time delivery confirmation has not been used. The Post Office gets the bum rap when they don't deserve it. Not that it doesn't ever happen, but I think it's far rarer than some traders would like for you to think...

I agree, I have been shipping via media mail for years and have never had a problem. But delivery confirmation is really a must, especially when trading and it only costs about $0.50

I assure you that at the time, it was not very convenient for me to get up and out and make tapes. The only busy time I had ever had (REALLY busy, 10-12 trades!!!) and my father passed away. I am sorry, Sitcom Analyzer, that it took so long for you to get your tape, but now I am back in business (slowly but surely) and I will be receiving SMALL trades or purchases... only. I regret to do this, but as I have many shows to tape and other things to do in my time, and now I am going to school and work too, I find it hard to do a trade in a day or two. I simply do not have the time to do this. I wish that if you want to trade, you contact me first. I have a lot of things to do, so I will need a while to finish trades. It really gets OLD after a while!!! I am changing paces and will soon evolve out of tape trading altogether into a video warehouse. (By the way, if any of you need videos, I have blanks for a good price!) Tape trading is really not my calling right now, so I will not do a whole lot of trading anymore. If anyone wishes to buy a master tape of mine, please let mje know so I will be able to tell you the specifics...

Eric

I always use a tracking # using media or prority mail. 98 percent of the time I have to send out media mail since it is cheaper.

I work with the trader... if they do not specify a method, I use the least expensive method. If they specify otherwise, I will deliver otherwise.... See my website for shipment methods...
