Some jerk in TV Guide gave the Season 2 DVDs a bad review. Well, actually it was the Season 2 episodes.
It is in the August 9-15 TV Guide. |

Nice way to pay tribute to a dying show.

Those crackheads at TVGuide never know what they're talking about. (First they name Hogan's as the fifth worst TV show of all time, now this.
) Season 2 has some of the best episodes of the series, and it's the best season, all-around, of the show. Funny, how just last week they had an article in it about how it was such a hit for both Cartoon Network and TBS. Oh well, I'll try to skim through one when I go to Wal-Mart.

Also, Mr. Reviewer for TVGuide, since you said the DVD was so bad, why does it rank number 14 on amazon.com's top sellers list?

I've seen this week's TV Guide and I have to say that TVG has skewed view of Futurama. I guess it depends. The guy who wrote the little blurb about the DVD set clearly is among those who think Futurama is pale imitation of The Simpsons set in the future. Then a few pages later, there's the caption for the final episode that mentions Futurama won an Emmy last year for outstanding animated series and is nominated again this year. So Futurama got knocked by the DVD reviewer and celebrated in the caption.

Take that FOX. The more it rises, the deeper the knife goes into the FOX executive's backs.

It just went past Lord of the Rings and sits comfortably at #7.

I had just started watching the show two weeks ago, and I bought this DVD set. Very funny stuff. The DVD set also has high quality video, hilarious commentary and great extra stuff (like many deleted scenes).
