Why Isn't This A series? - Sitcoms Online Message Boards

This afternoon I watched "The Adventures Of Buckaroo Banzaii" for about the billionth time, and once again I thought to myself, why the heck haven't they made this show into a series?

It's a good movie, not to mention pretty darn funny, I think it would make a great Sci Fi series. Peter Weller isn't exactly the busiest actor on earth, why not reprise the title role?

You listening to me Sci Fi Channel?
Of course not.

They've been ignoring me since I sent them all those nasty E-mails about the new Battlestar Gallactica mini series.

I remember seeing that film a long time ago with my friend and his dad, who also happened to be a psychologist. Man, when we got out of there he ripped that film apart! He said(among other things) that there wasn't one redeeming quality in that movie. It was pretty funny!

I probably could have argued with him but I didn't like the film that much that I felt compelled to defend it. And besides, I don't think that when you're a kid you really want to argue with a psychologist! He might have slapped a straight-jacket on me and locked me in a padded room!
