We've posted numerous messages here saying that Crystal should get back in TV with a new sitcom, and that's true...but what about Tim Daly?
Tim is a very talented "light comedy" actor, and when he cuts loose with quick impressions and funny reactions, he can be HILARIOUS! Unfortunately, after "Wings" ended, Tim seems to have given up comedy. Most of his Post-"Wings" roles have been of a very serious nature (killers, fugitives, assorted psychopaths, etc.). I for one would like to see him get back into TV comedy...and now that he's older, he could play different types of characters. (Just look at Ted Danson's cranky and sarcastic "Becker" character....I could see Tim tackling something like that now!). So why NOT another TV comedy? |

How about "The Hackett's"?
Just kidding, but Tim and Crystal did have the great chemistry and comedy timing together. |

I would love to see Tim do another sitcom.
He's such a talented and versatile actor but I always thought he was at his best on "Wings." "The Hackett's"... LOL... now that would be awesome! Joe and Helen maybe taking on the role of parents and their life after returning from Vienna would have a ton of possibilities. Jen

I highly doubt that you would ever see Tim and Crystal return to a regular series in their old "Wings" roles....even if THEY wanted to do it, I doubt that the network would go for it. (Heck, NBC won't even acknowledge "Wings" as one of their past hit shows!).
I just see Tim playing a different kind of role in a new sitcom. When you stop to think about it, he developed SO much as a comedy actor during the eight seasons of "Wings". The early seasons had him as a somewhat nerdy "Gee Whiz!"-type of "good guy"....but in the later seasons he developed different traits as well. Of course, the whole "obsessive-complulsive" thing was still going strong (if not WORSE in later seasons), but Tim also gave Joe a sarcastic, somewhat smart-ass side that was very funny....of course, if you were married to someone like Helen you would HAVE to be like that just to survive!

I think he'd do great in another sitcom. Not to insult Tim or anything, but I find him so bland and boring in dramas. Of course, I'm not a big drama person anyway. I think comedy is more his style.

Anyway, for a while Steven Weber was a regular on that show. My wife HATED it if I was in the same room with her when she tried to watch the show....I'd sit there and keep saying things like, "What is he DOING on that stupid show? What a WASTE of that man's talent! He can do so much BETTER than that sappy stuff!", etc. etc. etc.....and this was BEFORE I became a diehard "Wings" fan! I just knew Steven's skill at comedy (from films, other shows, etc.), and I knew that he was being wasted on that ABC show....if I ever saw him on that show NOW after watching his work on "Wings", I'd probably throw a lamp at the TV set!

Oh man, I hated Once & Again!
That's another show I'll never understand the popularity of. I found it so sappy, melodramatic, and depressing. I do like Steven in dramas, but not that one.

Steven is awesome playing a spooky role too... I loved him in "The Shining"... he freaked me out as Jack Torrance.

![]() So I actually had seen a couple of episodes of it. blah. But I don't think I ever saw any of the episodes with Steven Weber. I didn't even know he was on that show. |
