Well, yeah it was his parents. I was just pointing out that Potsie actually mentioned himself and car in the same sentence.

Back then they made Potsie smart enough to drive? I really liked Potsie in those early episodes.

Potsie was my favorite character. I HATED what they did to his character. Fonzie was always very, very mean and rude to him. I have to say, I stopped caring about this show when they ruined my Potsie. I also think that Fonzie's sometimes treatment of Potsie was not very funny at all. Looking back, as young kids looked up to Fonzie when they watched Happy Days, Fonzie's making fun of Potsie couldn't have set a good example for the kids who watched. Sorry. On a soap box. It was always just a real issue for me the way fonzie, and eventually all the characters, used to ridicule Potsie. Yet, they would embrace Ralph. Hmmm....

Didn't Joannie have a crush on Potsie at one point? I remember her saying "He's NOT a nerd, he's NOT a nerd"!

She called him Dren. Nerd spelled backward.

I dont know about Potsie. He was kind of goofy but in the earlier episodes, he always thought he was slick. How many times when he rejected somebody's idea or plans to do something because it was "kid's stuff." Uh, your a kid yourself.
