Default Most boring episode.

We all love HOTC...but it sometimes has its off moments. I really thought that "Radio Activity" was lacking! It was so dry and ridiculously dull that I almost fell asleep. Even the Eric/Simone chemistry in it was waning and it seemed like it was just filler for this episode. Charlie's idea for the radio station was so corny (did he really think that an audience of 80s HS kids would be into Charlie McCarthy?!), and the only saving grace of this episode was the class getting together and doing that fake radio scare.

What would you all list as a "boring" episode?

I agree that this was not one of my favorite episodes but I was happy to see the other story involving Eric and Simone. That was the first time I had seen this story and I have this episode on tape so it was totally cut out from that. I do wonder if Eric and Simone ended up going to the show together. I always wondered why Simone hardly had any speaking part in this episode.
I also liked the ending where the students were doing the radio show.
One of my least favorite episodes is Open Forum one where Alan wants to be on the tv show Open Forum and they pick Dennis instead.
I am also not crazy about Why Ronnie Can't Read.

Ahhhhhhh, brings back memories hearing people talk of those shows, I haven't seen any of those eps in 10 years. I remember racing home after school to watch them. Those were the days. I hope I can see them again someday.

The episode I thought was the weakest was the one in the last season where Eric said that he went to Paris and had some incredible adventure. Almost all they did in the episode was talk about his adventure sitting in class, they didn't show any of it or anything. It was just talking for half an hour in a room basically. It was sooooooo boring. I didn't like the Hair episodes either.

Another episode that I thought was extremely boring is Scuttlebutt.
I usually fast forward through most of that episode.

What makes "Scuttlebutt" boring (I've never seen it before)? And the "Hair" ep is boring, too? I thought that was supposed to be one of the "cool" ones!

I think it is boring because it doesn't focus on any of the cast members. Some old guy comes to the IHP to speak to the class and it is mostly about him.
The only part that focus on any of the cast members is a side storyline about Dennis and Arvid.

I thought the Hair one lacked the kick present in the Grease and Little Shop of Horrors ones. For one thing, I don't think the students in the lead roles were as talented or interesting as in the earlier musicals they did (Arvid, Dennis, Maria and Alan all were great in their parts in the earlier musicals, but none of them had lead parts in Hair, and Maria wasn't even in the cast any longer). Also, I think the songs in Hair are really bad for the most part, so it was totally boring to me all around.

That seems to be the main factor in a boring episode...either the ep focuses on none of the kids...or only one of the kids. I love seeing the ones where they work together as a group...or are interacting.

Two other ones are "On the Road Again" and "Past Imperfect." The former because I really don't like Dr. Samuels...he is such an annoying character, and the latter because I think Charlie's life is boring...unless his interaction with the kids or Miss Meara is added to the mix.

I like the ones where the kids interact the best too. However, I really like Dr. Samuels, I think he is hilarous, I always enjoyed his monents on screen!
