I'm never going to get to see the first episode!!
I just got back from Rhode Island, and I looked at my VCR, and it had been unpolugged.. Yes, it was very nice of my parents to think of unplugging my stuff so it wouldn't get hit by lightning and explode in a thunderstorm like it did last summer, it sucks because I'm a moron and didn't tell them not to unplug it because I had my timer set to record for last night. So I missed the first episode! poo!! I really wanted to see that one, since I've never seen it. oh well, I'll see it in a few months... And I guess missing one episode is not as bad as having my VCR explode, and then finding out that i can't get it fixed because it's discontinued, and then ordering a new one... yeah- that happened to me last year. it got hit by lightning. the thing was only like, 4 months old.. and my dad thought it just blew a fuse, so he put a new one in, and that one blew up. so he tried to look up the schematics to see if he could fix it himself, and then found out that the model was discontinued, so he couldn't get the parts. and then he took the whole thing apart and tried to figure out what could be busted, and he went to the store and bought new parts, and then it still didn't work. so he bought me a new VCR, since the first one was a birthday present. lol. Well, I got a new VCR out of the deal... wow, i really went rambling on with that one. lol Sorry for the rant and the rambling. lol. so, how are all of you guys? ![]() I'll catch up on the rest of the posts later. I'm tired ![]() ~Krista

Krista, I'm SURPRISED at you! Don't you know Rule #1 for being a true "WINGS" fan? It's this:
You're not allowed to go on a vacation or to leave town for ANY reason until you've seen every "Wings" episode at least once!

Well, guess what, Krista? I've got a "episode-not-taping" story, too. I went to Chattanooga, TN this weekend. I left Thurs. and just got back tonight. I asked my mom to housesit & dogsit. I had the VCR set for this past weekend's Wings. I get home, the tape that was in the VCR was on top of the entertainment center. The only thing that taped was Monk. I guess my mom wanted to watch another tape and didn't put mine back in. Oh well, I have seen that one, but it's been awhile. But I wanted to see it again!!!
I've got another story about this weekend--I went up to Chatt. with my sister and her friend, Lisa, to see some friends and the 3 of us shared a hotel room. Fri.night, Lisa was in the bathroom and she started to brush her teeth. She has this electric toothbrush, and it sounded very, very similar to that thing that Roy was using in the "Bogey Men" episode!! My sister & I were sitting on the bed watching TV, when we heard the toothbrush, we looked at each other and started cracking up. Of course, my sister knows that episode very well. Lisa says OK, what's so funny, and we've known Lisa about 20 years, so she wasn't mad for laughing at her, especially since she knew it had to do with a TV show. It really didn't surprise her that it had to do with a TV show, because she knows how we are. Geez, we're a sad pair!!

OK, that brings us to Rules #2 and #3 of being a "Wings" fan:
Rule #2 Never, EVER let your parents anywhere NEAR your VCR when you're away! (They'll screw things up every time!). Rule #3 Don't ever share a motel/hotel room with anyone who uses strange-sounding motorized devices behind a locked bathroom door! |

I missed the first episode too, and I've never seen it before either!
I got back from my cousin's wedding, and just pretty much crashed, not remembering to tape it or try to stay awake! I wanted to kick myself this morning!
