Default CATM on DVD

Hi Ed,
Welcome back to the boards. Geez it's good to see you again. As far as CATM being on DVD...no word of that yet. But if you ever, ever hear of it available, promise you will let us know and we will do the same for you. Post more often. Nice to connect with an old Freddie fan.

I wonder if anyone from the SITCOMS boards like tape trading or here etc has transferred any CATM episodes from VHS to DVD? That would be one way to get them on DVD but I want them to officially release them on VHS & DVD...

I have heard that the equipment needed to turn your VHS into DVD format is kinda pricy (more than this WV teacher can afford anyhow). I would love to convert my tapes into DVDs only because I am so afraid every time I copy them for people I am going to wear them out! LOL (Not to mention all the times I just view them for my own pleasure.)
I really want them to come out commercially produced tho. Just think of all the extras you get with those. Nothing is cut out and the digital quality lasts for years! MMMMM can't wait. I keep looking and praying!

Vote Here!

Well ladies and gentlemen, I'm not very sure this will work, but I found this site and they say they can help with getting shows released on DVD. I found this on a Three's Company board and they said it helped to get that show released, so hopefully if we bug them enough we can get the same for Chico.

You have to register to vote, but hey anything to help, right? I do hope this will help!

Thanks Dani,
I'm going to vote right now. To be able to watch CATM on DVD would be a dream. Great job. Love your investigative skills. Heads up everyone.

Thumbs up

I voted and added some links to the site. There weren't any, so maybe we will get new people here and elsewhere! LOL We now have 13 links. BTW I found out you can only vote once, so every vote counts..... Please tell everyone to vote!

I think since they sell alot of other shows of that era on DVD, Chico and the Man isn't far behind. Here's the ones they sell:

All in the Family: Season 1
All in the Family: Season 2

Good Times: Season 1

The Jeffersons: Season 1
The Jeffersons: Season 2

Sanford and Son: Season 1
Sanford and Son: Season 2

What's Happening!!: Season 1

Red face

I have to admit I watched What's Happening when it was on and it was an ok show, but it sure wasn't in the same league as Chico and the Man, IMHO. I hope they release it soon!

I have a DVD-recorder and the entire CATM series as well, or at least every episode TVLand aired during it's weekend Marathon which I believe was supposed to be the complete series. Am I correct?
